Chapter 92

Hatred

"Report, lost track of them. They're running very fast. We suspect they've finished their transformation and become Bruce Banner, blending into the residential area."

After receiving his subordinate's report, Eric immediately relayed it to Tony and offered new suggestions.

"I estimate that Banner will be staying in this city soon. He needs a fixed place to live, and he probably has friends here. I request to investigate his personal information."

Tony shook his head and rejected Eric's suggestion: "No need. Have everyone evacuate to Greyburn College and begin the final plan."

"Have they given up the chase? Banner couldn't have escaped too far in such a short time."

Tony pointed to the chaotic playground and explained, "So what if we found him? We've used up all the equipment and test subjects we brought. If we find Banner, and he transforms into the Hulk, are you going to box with him?"

At this point, Tony pointed to the distance, where the action team had finally found Bronsky. Two team members were carrying a stretcher on which Bronsky was sleeping peacefully with his hands and feet folded together.

After a moment of silence, Eric said, "I'll arrange it right away. Send weapons to Greyburn Academy. We'll definitely catch him this time."

Tony had already organized the accompanying experimenters to collect Hulk's blood from the ground.

"No need. You should send this blood back to Umbrella for the big boss. I'll have Jarvis contact him about the details. The T-series products might not be enough to fight the Hulk right now. We need something new and more powerful."

Eric looked at Hulk's blood and immediately understood Tony's meaning, but asked curiously, "Is there enough time? Doesn't research take a very long time?"

"Don't worry, the big boss has been researching this for a long time, and we have data on the Super Soldier Serum. Oh, you might not know, but the Super Soldier Serum was the precursor to Hulk's original experiment."

"Who is the big boss? Does Umbrella even have such a person?" Eric asked curiously.

"The new recruit is quite intelligent. Oh, and bring Bronsky back too. He was injected with the Super Soldier Serum; he's a good candidate. Didn't he want to become even stronger?"

At this point, Tony began directing the lab personnel on site: "Be careful, search again, make sure all of Hulk's blood has been collected. Oh, and make sure the T01 body over there is burned clean."

As he spoke, Tony carefully walked around the playground. The staff present thought Tony was supervising the work, so they worked even harder.

Tony's attention wasn't on them, but on searching for a possible treasure chest. Unfortunately, after searching several times and the workers responsible for burning the ground white, Tony still couldn't find a treasure chest and had to give up. It seemed that this place didn't meet the conditions for a treasure chest to spawn.

-----------------

During the battle, Banner discovered that as Hulk weakened, the tranquilizer darts injected into his body were having some effect, and Banner could influence Hulk's actions through his consciousness.

This explains why Hulk, as if suddenly enlightened, successfully escaped. After shaking off the pursuit of the action team, Banner, who had transformed back into Banner near the downtown area, first coordinated his clothes with someone before blending into the crowd.

At this point, Banner realized that the other party had been searching for him. It was clear that Stark Industries had powerful hackers who could control the surveillance. Banner then consciously avoided the surveillance and successfully arrived at the shop owned by his old friend.

Banner skillfully slipped in through the back door. His old friend, who was tidying up in the kitchen, immediately grabbed a frying pan and shouted, "I'm here!"

"Get out, you vagrant!"

Banner quickly looked up and explained, "It's me!"

The old man recognized Banner's face immediately and exclaimed in surprise, "What happened to you? Are you hurt?!"

Banner was in very bad shape; his chest was stained with blood. Clearly, Hulk's injuries were too severe this time, and he brought them back with him when he transformed back.

Banner relaxed a little when he arrived at his old friend's shop, but the pain immediately surged up, and he collapsed by the table, unbuttoning his shirt to reveal several large wounds bleeding again.

His old friend immediately came over, wanting to find something to stop the bleeding, but Banner immediately stopped him, saying, "Don't touch it, this blood can't be touched, it's radioactive."

Upon hearing the word "radiation," the old man immediately took a few steps back. Banner couldn't help but chuckle; his old friend was still as amusing as ever. He quickly explained, "It's alright, just don't touch it."

The old friend was a little embarrassed and asked with concern, "What about your injury? Should I call a doctor?"

Banner, trying to sound cheerful, said, "It's alright. I can feel the wound healing, but Hulk seems to have gotten an infection, which is slowing down the healing. However, the gamma rays are eliminating them, and I'll soon be able to heal the wound. I need to take a nap now, and whatever you do, don't touch the blood."

After saying that, Banner finally couldn't hold on any longer and sat down on the ground to fall asleep.

Looking at Banner lying on the ground with his still-bleeding wound, the old friend hesitated for a moment, but still called Betty Rose.

Banner had never slept so comfortably before. The physical exhaustion, and perhaps Hulk's exhaustion as well, made Banner sleep very soundly.

Of course, the most likely reason was those tranquilizer darts. In any case, Banner slept very comfortably and even had a sweet dream in which Betty sat by his bedside watching him.

Looking at Betty by the bedside, Banner didn't want to blink, afraid that if he closed his eyes, his sweet dream would end. The two stared at each other for a long time before Banner finally realized something was wrong.

"I'm not dreaming, am I?"

"Yes." Betty nodded affirmatively, tears welling up in her eyes.

Then the two couldn't help but hug and kiss, and then had some deep conversation.

Ross, who was monitoring everything from a distance, was so angry he almost ground his teeth to powder. He quickly reached out and turned off the monitor.

Tony patted him on the shoulder and said, "Your daughter's all grown up now, and Banner's not bad either, except he'll turn green."

"Can't we just rush over there and capture Banner alive?" Ross asked.

"What do you mean? Bronsky? My men have examined him. He has multiple fractures all over his body, and his sternum is comminuted. But it seems the super soldier serum is pretty good; he's quite resilient. He's still alive after all this."

Hearing Tony's taunts, Ross retorted, "Where are your soldiers? The soldiers enhanced by the T-virus are nothing but Hulk's defeated foe. They don't even dare to fight. They only dare to send those mindless biological weapons to their deaths."

"I admit that the current T-virus enhancements are not as good as the Hulk, but T-virus soldiers are controllable, aren't they?"

"Hmph, stop with the nonsense. I've already convinced Betty. Tell me your plan: how do you intend to capture the Hulk at Greyburn Academy and deploy more Jericho missiles?"

"No, don't forget the Hulk blood we just obtained."

"Blood, speaking of which, why was there not a speck of dirt left when my men arrived at the scene!"

"Don't get so agitated. Didn't we agree that you'd listen to me this time?"

"But you stole my work! Hulk's blood, and the Super Soldier Serum, you got both."

"Yes, but not plagiarism. I'll give you a new Hulk. Remember Bronsky?"

"Bronsky, do you want me to sign a critical condition notice?"

"We should have some faith in him. After all, he was injected with the Super Soldier Serum, so he won't die so easily. Think about it, the Super Soldier Serum is also Hulk's blood."

"A new Hulk, a soldier turned into a controllable, loyal one," Ross said, a smile creeping onto his lips.

"The name Hulk is copyrighted, so how about we give him a new name, Abomination?"

"Not bad," Ross said with satisfaction.
