Chapter 93

Injection

While Tony and General Ross discussed the details, Betty also had a friendly exchange of biological knowledge with Banner and engaged in in-depth practice.

"Where have you been all these years?" Betty asked with concern after they were done.

Banner hesitated for a moment, ultimately not wanting to drag Betty into trouble, and simply said vaguely, "The experiment back then went wrong and created a monster. Someone wanted to turn it into a weapon, and I've been being tracked by them ever since."

Betty misunderstood Banner's vague words, thinking that Stark had his eye on the experimental results and was tracking Banner, while her father was doing everything he could to protect her.

"I can help you. I can try asking my father," Betty said with concern. Fortunately, she remembered Ross's instructions and did not reveal that she had already made contact with Ross, but only hinted at it indirectly.

"General Ross, no, not just Stark." Banner hesitated again, after all, he was Betty's father, and finally Banner simply said:

"General Ross also wants to turn me into a weapon! That's wrong."

"But Stark Industries already has other weapons, those monsters!"

Banner realized what was happening and quickly asked, "You saw everything?"

Betty took out her phone and opened the latest news: "It's on the news, and it happened at my school, right next to our lab."

The phone was playing the latest news report, but due to Tony's advance clearing and control measures, there were no close-up videos. However, the commotion was so great that many videos taken by enthusiastic bystanders with poor camera angles were still leaked.

"Yes, those monsters are terrifying too. They carry toxins, and I almost got infected myself."

"You were exposed to gamma rays in that experiment, and you're the green Hulk in the video." Betty pointed to the Hulk being attacked in the video, and also provided other evidence: "And your wounds from before, are the same as the ones where he was hit by missiles."

Banner, seeing this, admitted, "Yes, gamma rays made me who I am, Hulk."

"There must be a way to turn him back, right? I can go to my father. He has military experimental resources and can make Stark Industries stop tracking you." Betty remembered Ross's plan. As long as she cooperated, she could turn Banner back and have the warrant lifted so that Stark Industries would stop harassing her.

Banner didn't directly answer Betty's question. Although he didn't know why Betty kept mentioning Stark Industries, perhaps it was because Stark Industries had come to arrest him and she had misunderstood, he couldn't very well say that the main force that had been arresting him was actually his father. So he could only change the subject:

"By the way, my blood hasn't been touched by anyone, has it?"

Betty rolled her eyes at him and said, "I also have a PhD in biology, and I know how to handle contaminated blood. The samples have already been destroyed."

"That's good!" Banner changed the subject, then remembered something and asked, "Do we still have the experimental data from back then? The data on the computers in the lab is all gone."

"The equipment from back then was all moved away, but I kept a copy." As she spoke, Betty took out the data she had kept hidden for many years.

Banner quickly grabbed the USB drive and said excitedly, "With this data, maybe I can turn back and return to normal."

Betty asked curiously, "Can the effects of the experiment be reversed?"

Banner shook his head, then nodded and explained, "Pretty much. I know a scientist named Dr. Blue. I've been working with him on Hulk's blood for years. With this experimental data, he can help me reduce the gamma ray energy in my body, so Hulk will cease to exist."

"Really?" Betty said excitedly. As long as Banner returns to normal, the two of them can go back to the past, and it doesn't seem to violate Ross's plan. Giving the USB drive to Banner is also part of Ross's plan.

Betty still secretly believes that her father went easy on her, letting her give the information to Banner so that Banner could save himself. It just goes to show that people with love in their hearts are good at imagining things.

"Yes, I need to contact Dr. Blue via computer now." After saying that, Banner finally began to look around at his surroundings and asked curiously, "Is this your house? Where's the computer?"

Betty stammered, "This is, this is Leonard's house, just a friend of mine."

Banner didn't think much of it and continued, "Well, where's the computer? I need to contact Dr. Blue right away. Hopefully, he's not far from here."

"Here." Betty quickly got dressed and led Banner to the study next door.

Meanwhile, Tony, who was watching the surveillance footage, suddenly received a report from the surveillance team that Leonard had driven back. He immediately ordered, "Quick, run him over! Don't let him get home, or he'll turn into the Hulk!"

The task force successfully created a minor incident, eliminating external factors, and Banner was finally able to log onto the website and contact Dr. Blue.

Jarvis, now impersonating Dr. Blue, began to reply. With the help of the boss, Jarvis, who had obtained all the chat logs, imitated Dr. Blue even better than the boss, without arousing Banner's suspicion. He successfully arranged to meet Banner at Greenburn Academy to try to reduce the amount of gamma rays in his body and eliminate the Hulk.

"It worked." Tony showed Ross the chat between Jarvis and Banner.

Ross nodded and said, "Hopefully your enhancements can be completed before then, otherwise it'll be another accident! I don't want Hulk to escape from my grasp again."

"No, even without the Abomination, Greyburn is prepared and won't let Hulk escape again. Now all we need to do is make Banner obediently go to the appointment."

"Don't worry, I'll keep a close eye on them this time."

"I hope you won't get too excited when you watch the surveillance footage along the way. After all, you're young, and it's natural for things to get heated when you're reunited after a long separation."

"You can get out of here! See you at Greyburn Academy." Ross kicked Tony out.

-----------------

Tony wasn't angry. After all, his own cabbage had been taken. Regardless of whether Banner was a good or bad guy, Ross couldn't help but feel a little upset.

Tony stopped monitoring the situation and left it to Ross. Actually, whether or not they caught the Hulk was no longer of much significance, since they had already gathered all the elements needed to create the Hulk serum and were just waiting to synthesize it.

As for persisting in capturing Banner, it serves two purposes: firstly, to fulfill Ross's long-cherished wish and satisfy the old man, and secondly, to help reconcile the father and daughter.

Another objective is to test the effects of the Hulk serum, and then try to defeat the Hulk and unlock the treasure chest!

Yes, Tony didn't believe it. The Incredible Hulk storyline was over; at least a treasure chest should have appeared.

When Tony rushed back to Umbrella Corporation, the big boss was already ready.

"Boss, everything is ready. Here are two vials of reagents: the blue one is the Super Soldier Serum, and the green one is the Hulk Enhancement Serum."

Tony looked at the two vials of serum, one blue and one green, and asked, "Will injecting these two vials grant me Hulk-like powers?"

The leader stated confidently, "Absolutely no problem. The Super Soldier Serum enhances the physique, then the Hulk Serum is used, and gamma rays are applied for further enhancement, perfectly replicating Banner's experience from back then."

While the leader was explaining, Tony sensed his intentions and, not feeling any malice, felt reassured.

"Start the injection."

After Tony lay down on the lab table, the boss placed the drug on the equipment, and then Jarvis began to operate the machine to inject Tony.

The leader offered a friendly reminder: "It might hurt a little, since it's being injected into the spine."

Tony said nonchalantly, "It's nothing. I've endured the torture inflicted by the Ten Rings Gang back in the day. After all, they didn't ask me anything, they just kept torturing me."
