Chapter 28

Let me tell you something—no, I mean, I'll analyze it for you.

It's obvious that this isn't a 2D mobile game; there's no way to recharge.

After venting his frustrations, Tony looked at Eric, who was staring at him, waiting for his reply.

First, I need to shift the blame for the destruction of the opposing team, otherwise I don't know when this ruthless guy will betray me. His uninjured arm was hidden in his waist the whole time.

Tony's telekinetic senses revealed a dagger there. Under normal circumstances, if Eric were to suddenly unleash his power at this distance, an ordinary person would have no chance to dodge it.

Of course, Tony is no longer an ordinary person and has the ability to subdue someone directly with telekinesis, but to be honest, the other party hasn't wronged him yet and has even become like this because of his mission, so it's a bit hard to bring himself to do it.

After thinking for a moment, Tony began his persuasive argument: "Let me analyze this for you, and see what's wrong. He wants you to tell the people behind you that this matter ends here, and that they shouldn't try to challenge my bottom line again, and shouldn't bother me. Right?"

"Yes, the person behind me is you," Eric said confidently.

"The key point isn't the first sentence. Look at the last sentence: 'Don't bother me.' But I'm not bothering him for no reason. I'm seeking revenge, and my target isn't him, it's the Ten Rings Gang."

"The Ten Rings Gang belongs to him, right? He should be the person behind the Ten Rings Gang," Eric retorted.

"Yes, but the problem is that my target for revenge is only the Ten Rings gang in the Middle East, and according to your description, you haven't done much damage to the Ten Rings gang before, not even as much as the routine sweeps by the US military. Is it really necessary for him to be so impulsive?"

At this point, Eric felt that Tony's words made some sense, so he quietly looked at Tony, signaling him to continue.

Seeing that Eric had already taken the bait, Tony continued to deceive him: "So we have to go back in time. What bothered him? It wasn't me, it was my kidnapping."

"What do you mean?" Eric's train of thought had already been led astray by Tony.

Tony looked at Eric's inquisitive eyes with satisfaction and continued to deceive him: "Let's be fair, was the Ten Rings Gang famous before they kidnapped me? Compared to other terrorist organizations, they weren't even well-known in the Middle East, let alone internationally, right?"

"That's right, otherwise I wouldn't have taken on this mission. Compared to the organizations that are all over the Arab world, the Ten Rings Gang's sphere of influence in the Middle East is very small."

"So, this is the key point. I remember you said before that the Ten Rings Gang is a relatively loose alliance, with branches not only in the Middle East but also in Asia. And according to what you said, its real mastermind might be the man in white you mentioned. He has no ideology or belief; he just wants to develop quietly or has other pursuits."

"He doesn't want to attract other people's attention! This is the so-called Asian way of moderation, not to be the first to stick one's neck out." Eric completely followed Tony's line of thought, or rather, he was completely misled by Tony and had already started to imagine the whole story.

But Eric quickly realized the blind spot in this logic and retorted, "Then he was still talking to you, telling you not to bother him."

"No, no, no! Don't forget what happened before. It wasn't me who made him or the Ten Rings Gang the focus of attention. The reason they became the focus in the first place was because I was kidnapped, which made the Ten Rings Gang a key target of the US military. Moreover, my survival was an accident. My revenge was not originally part of this plan."

Eric understood and quickly replied, "Your kidnapping wasn't an accident. Someone arranged for the Ten Rings Gang to kidnap you, to make the Ten Rings Gang the focus of attention, and to force that man in white to step into the limelight."

"That should be it." Tony looked on with satisfaction as Eric found his target for revenge. Eric was more likely to believe Tony's deductions than Tony's direct statement.

"Who planned to kidnap you?" Eric now had a new goal in life: revenge. He couldn't beat Xu Wenwu, but there weren't superheroes everywhere. As long as it was a carbon-based life form, he could assassinate it.

It seems we can still use Eric. Eric is indeed very capable; he's already taken care of Gemilla in less than a week.

Tony started trying to persuade Eric to continue working for him.

"Obadai orchestrated my kidnapping."

Eric had investigated Stark Industries and naturally knew who Obadiah was. He quickly figured out the reason behind it, but also realized a problem.

"Obadai probably just wanted to kill you, it has nothing to do with the Ten Rings Gang. Exposing the Ten Rings Gang has nothing to do with his purpose."

Tony nodded. He wanted to make you think, otherwise you would have gone and killed Obadiah, and the stock would have fallen even further.

"That's right, there's another crucial point. No matter what, the Ten Rings Gang are terrorists. How can Obama ensure that they won't leak information? You know, this is aiding the enemy, so there must be a middleman involved."

"This middleman's goal is not only to help Obama, but also to force the people behind the Ten Rings Gang to come out."

"That's right." This time it wasn't just a lie; Tony himself thought so too.

"Who is the middleman? Do you know?" Eric felt that Tony must have something on his mind for saying so much.

"I don't know which faction it is, but I'm certain there's a group of people like that." Tony said, glancing at the screen in the carriage.

"Jarvis, play the video of Obadiah meeting with people on the beach after I came back."

As Tony's voice faded, the screen lit up and began playing a video of Obadiah's meeting with the short-haired man in black on the beach.

There was no sound and the picture quality was poor; all that could be identified was Obadiah. Therefore, Eric couldn't understand the significance of the video and waited for Tony's explanation.

"This person was met mysteriously after Obama couldn't get through to the Middle East by phone. His attire is most likely not that of a member of the Ten Rings Gang, so he must be the one who introduced the Ten Rings Gang to Obama."

"Who is he?" Eric pressed.

Tony shrugged to indicate he didn't know, then asked Jarvis:

"Jarvis, what information did you get from investigating this person?"

Tony had previously handed this person over to Jarvis for investigation, but Jarvis hadn't reported back, so he probably hadn't received any accurate information yet. However, Tony believed that Jarvis wouldn't be completely without any information.

Sure enough, the screen began to change, and Jarvis began his report:

"The vehicle was tracked to the Kahn underground parking lot that day, but there were no surveillance cameras there, and the target was lost."

"Continue." Tony believed Jarvis had more than just these abilities.

As expected, Jarvis continued broadcasting the message.

"Based on facial recognition, a search of multiple databases did not find a corresponding person, nor was the target found in Los Angeles public surveillance. Assuming this person did not recently enter the country illegally, this person is most likely a secret agent of some organization whose files are not networked and who consciously avoids surveillance in their daily work or has a dedicated logistics team to handle exposed electronic information."

After Jarvis finished his broadcast, Eric waited a while and found there was nothing left to say, so he could finally start making sarcastic remarks.

"That's it? Your high-tech stuff isn't even good enough."
