Chapter 89
Fury
"Action!" Upon seeing the Hulk appear, Eric immediately issued the order. The action team members hidden in various places emerged from their hiding places, and armored vehicles also drove out from the underground parking lot. In an instant, the entire Culver University became the Hulk's hunting ground.
The first to attack were the snipers who emerged from the rooftops, but it was clear that sniper rifles were useless against the Hulk, so these snipers pulled out RPGs instead.
Without any announcements or warnings, the rockets were launched directly, raining down on Hulk as if they were free. Hulk, completely bewildered, watched a fireworks display from a first-person perspective.
When Hulk angrily leaped out of the flames, ready to crush these mortal insects, he discovered that the insects with small guns on the rooftop had vanished.
Enraged and finding no outlet for his anger, Hulk turned his rage on the surrounding buildings, deciding to become a demolition worker and give Culver University a free "renovation".
Just then, the school loudspeakers blared, and Eric taunted Hulk:
"Hey, big oaf, come here, Daddy has something good for you."
Could Hulk tolerate this? He grabbed a flower bed from the roadside and smashed it directly at a loudspeaker, but there were many loudspeakers, so Eric continued to taunt him.
"Is that all the strength you have? Or did you use it all on the Mexicans?"
Hulk's already limited intelligence was further diminished, especially as anger completely suppressed Banner's subconscious, causing him to frantically search for Eric's voice.
One by one, the loudspeakers were smashed, and Hulk was led to the playground, where there were five huge boxes, each larger than Hulk, and a speaker next to them.
Hulk leaped from a great distance and smashed the speaker flat, then casually knocked over the huge box.
The box was then opened, and gusts of cold air turned into white mist and drifted out. Hulk felt the cold, but there was no trash talk or taunting. Hulk calmed down a bit, and Banner subconsciously came back to his senses. He was no longer interested in staying there and decided to leave.
But before they could even emerge from the cold, white mist, a series of angry roars came from inside the box.
Hulk was stunned for a moment. What was going on? There were other things like him that couldn't speak. Then, Hulk roared along with him.
However, it was clear that they did not understand each other's language, and the roars were taken as provocations, with the sounds of impacts quickly replacing the roars.
"Do you think the T0 test subject can beat the Hulk?" Tony, who had been watching the operation from the school's monitoring center, asked Eric beside him.
"Judging from the power Hulk displayed in the last operation, T0 should be able to control Hulk," Eric said confidently.
"The problem is that Hulk didn't go all out when he fought you guys last time. That fight didn't really provoke him." Tony wasn't optimistic about T0, after all, this was the Marvel universe, Hulk's home turf.
"Hopefully, I can get some blood from Hulk, which would be a way to give Ross an explanation and make it easier for me to replace the blood sample and create my own Hulk army."
It's obvious that Tony really has his eye on Hulk enhancement, otherwise he wouldn't have recruited the big boss. After the big boss received the T-virus enhancement, the research on Hulk's blood made new progress. Things that he hadn't figured out before were all clarified. In addition, with the data on the super soldier serum that Banner was injected with before his mutation, he already had the idea for a Hulk enhancement drug.
Now all that's missing is for Tony to inject the finished product, then optimize it from the core into his own power, and finally extract blood to create a version with Tony's genetic imprint.
In comparison, the enhancement agents from treasure chests are more reliable, saving you from all this back and forth hassle.
As the two talked, the sounds of fighting in the white mist grew louder and louder, and then a T01 flew out, followed by a second and a third.
When the white fog dissipated, the remaining two T01s were left. One was being trampled under Hulk's feet, and the other was being punched repeatedly in the head, with half of his body already buried in the ground.
Seeing this, Eric realized he had underestimated Hulk's strength and began to plan the next move.
"Bring out the armored vehicles and attack helicopters."
Tony shook his head and said, "Don't rush, wait a little longer. T01 is not T03. Although it is uncontrollable, its potential is higher and it has not reached its limit yet. Don't forget the purpose of using T01: to show General Ross what the best biological weapon is."
Eric nodded and re-ordered, "Have the mobile forces stand by, ready to act at any time."
The T01 that was thrown away rushed towards Hulk again. When it flew out, you could clearly see that T01 had different injuries on its body. Some bones were broken, some necks were crooked, and some were crawling on the ground when it charged. However, by the time it got to Hulk, it had all recovered. In fact, thick bone spurs had grown on the places where it was previously injured, like armor.
The hand-to-hand combat resumed, and Hulk was like a lion being attacked by hyenas. Although these hyenas were not small, T01 would cling to Hulk again and again, only to be punched away, but another one would immediately rush up.
What infuriated Hulk even more was that T01 was becoming increasingly robust, its bone armor breaking and growing back, breaking and growing back again, becoming thicker and thicker. When Hulk punched it, it sent up a lot of bone fragments, but T01 quickly grew new bone armor.
"Has this evolved into a shock absorber? Has the T-virus evolved to be this intelligent? It even understands mechanics now."
Eric was also surprised. He wouldn't be surprised if it evolved into soft muscle armor or bone armor that could withstand punches, but he really didn't expect it to evolve into a lot of loose, thin armor to absorb force.
"That's probably the wonder of biological evolution; it always surprises us," Eric concluded, adding, "Looks like I was right, boss."
T01 grew increasingly powerful with each battle, its rapidly multiplying armor allowing it to close the distance to the Hulk. Furthermore, in addition to its fragile bone armor, T01's constantly evolving teeth and claws were now capable of injuring the Hulk.
The high-definition surveillance footage shows that Hulk's body has already started to show scratches. Unfortunately, perhaps because Hulk is recovering too quickly, we haven't seen the blood that Tony planned to bleed out yet.
Tony remained pessimistic, reminding Eric, "This is just before Hulk gets angry; anger is the source of Hulk's power."
As Tony finished speaking, the five T01s had already grabbed Hulk tightly. Hulk was like a monkey king stuck to a plaster, desperately trying to shake off the filth on his body, but the T01s held on tight and wouldn't let go.
One of the T01s, which was lying on Hulk's back, finally found an opportunity and bit down hard on Hulk's neck. This time, its sharp teeth pierced Hulk's blood vessels, and blood spurted out.
"Okay! Remember to clear that plot of land completely and take it for purification as soon as possible."
Eric asked doubtfully, "Isn't Hulk about to be caught? Shouldn't we be thinking about how to control T01? I'm afraid the bombs planted inside them won't kill them in a moment."
Tony looked at Hulk's increasingly red eyes and said helplessly, "Arresting Hulk might not be enough even if we bring all the experimental subjects. Just wait and see, we're about to see the real monster."
"Roar!" Hulk was clearly in pain from the bite, and coupled with the annoying plaster on his body, he roared and suddenly grew larger, then slammed his fist into the ground.
The ground shook violently, and Tony felt the building he was in sway. The T01 on Hulk's body was also a little dizzy from the sudden tremor, and then Hulk took the opportunity to grab one of the T01's heads.
T01's muscular head was gripped in Hulk's hand, and then with a bang, it was crushed by Hulk.
