Harry: I hope they are okay
Chapter 217 Harry: I hope they are okay
At night, Harry and Wade returned to Hogwarts through the Vanishing Cabinet.
The rest of their classmates would at best take advantage of the Hogsmeade weekend to hang out in the wizarding village for an hour or two and then return before the rest of the class went back to school.
Michael and his companions were sometimes recognized by students in their third year and above who were eligible to go to Hogsmeade, and everyone believed that they had found a secret passage that had not been discovered by Filch.
Considering their relationship with the Weasley twins, this was not surprising.
The brothers had sneaked into the Forbidden Forest in their first year, and had wandered around Hogsmeade before they were old enough.
Most of the senior students smiled tolerantly, or made some good-natured jokes, and sometimes even advised them not to go to the Three Broomsticks for the time being because several professors were drinking and chatting inside.
But there were also some students who were not on good terms with Filch and would secretly report them to him - everyone thought it must be Slytherin's fault.
During the last Hogsmeade weekend, Michael and Padma were on a date at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop, and were nearly caught by Filch -
That administrator actually went to Hogsmeade on the weekend as well!
You know, he usually doesn't want to get close to this wizarding village, but in order to catch a few sneaking students, Filch went from store to store.
Fortunately, Michael was very popular, and a student spotted Filch and hurried over to tell them. Several people hurried back to school and thus avoided being punished.
Filch was furious, but there was nothing he could do.
As we all know, at Hogwarts, as long as you don't get caught, you don't break the school rules.
But since then, they have moved up the time to return to school by one hour.
Today, only Wade and Harry fell behind because they had to learn magic.
When there were no classes, the castle's main building always seemed even more deserted, and when curfew approached, there was no one in the corridors.
Even Filch and Mrs. Norris would not come here, because on weekend nights, they would either keep track of which students did not return to the common room on time, or watch the students in the entrance hall to prevent them from bringing mud and water into the castle.
Coming out of the Room of Requirement, Wade took a look at the portrait of Silly Barnabas out of habit, and then heard Harry say:
"Once the decoy operation has produced results, Sirius will probably tell us, right?"
The young savior said sincerely: "I hope those missing children are okay."
Wade shook his head: "This action will not produce any results in the short term...it may even have no effect at all."
"Why?" Harry asked in surprise.
"Because wizards have to disguise themselves as Muggles, especially Muggle children, just like a husky mixed in with a wolf pack. Even if they look similar, they can be identified with a little carefulness."
"Are they familiar with local slang and dialects? Do they know the latest video games? Can they ride the bus and subway?" Vedder said.
Harry could not help being speechless, and thought of Mr. Weasley who had asked him about the plug.
He then retorted: "But they could choose wizards who are Muggle-born... or who are married to Muggles. They will definitely not make those basic mistakes."
"They might be able to pretend to be Muggles, but it's hard to play a Muggle child."
Wade said: "The ones who are really suitable for the bait plan should be children like you and me who still maintain close ties with the Muggle society."
Hearing this, Harry couldn't help but feel a little tempted and eager to try it out.
"You said, if we suggest this to Professor Dumbledore..."
"Impossible, forget it! Unless all the adult wizards are dead, it will be the turn of the twelve-year-old children to take the stage." Wade said decisively.
If this matter was entirely operated by Dumbledore, Harry's idea would still be possible. But when the factors of the leaders become more complicated, the risky strategy will be less accepted. Harry suddenly felt a little frustrated.
The two of them walked to the corner of the corridor and stopped at the same time.
Although Gryffindor and Ravenclaw are both in towers, the two towers are far apart. Apart from the courtyard, there is only a corridor on the third floor connecting them.
So they separated at the end of the corridor.
Harry steeled himself.
"Dumbledore and his team must have considered the problem you mentioned, and they will definitely improve the plan... So the bait plan still has a chance of being effective, right?"
Vader hesitated, then nodded.
Harry laughed.
"Be optimistic, Wade. Maybe we'll hear good news when we wake up tomorrow morning!"
He waved his hand, opened the door and stepped onto a staircase. The moving staircase slowly turned a circle and sent Harry to another direction.
Behind him, Vader walked onto the balcony, raised his wand, and summoned his broom with a Summoning Charm.
The old broom passed through the Ravenclaw tower and stopped in front of Wade with a whoosh. As it was used for a longer time, the broom became more and more intelligent.
Wade turned over and got on his broom. Instead of going directly back to the dormitory, he flew twice over Hogwarts.
The castle looks even more majestic in the night, and the spire where the principal's office is located is like a small strawberry embellishing on a cake.
The headmaster's office still exudes a soft glow tonight - magical candles never need to worry about electricity bills, but Dumbledore himself is definitely not in the office at the moment.
Wade thought of Harry's optimism just now and secretly denied it again in his heart.
When there are more participants and stakeholders, not only will the response speed become slower and the procedures become more cumbersome, but even the executors usually will not choose the most suitable one.
It’s not that Dumbledore couldn’t see the problem...it’s just that the headmaster never sought power, which resulted in him often having to endure idiots shouting at him, and then doing even more stupid things.
So the bait plan failed, which was for the best in Vader's opinion.
If there was any gain... he would only wonder if it represented a plan to hunt wizards.
The broom flew through the night wind and landed on the rooftop of Ravenclaw Tower. Wade smoothed his wind-blown hair, picked up the broom, answered the eagle-shaped door knocker's question, and returned to the common room.
Michael was sitting in front of the common room reading a book. When he saw him come in, he immediately waved.
"How did you learn?"
He winked, not saying the name of the Patronus Charm when there were others in the common room.
"It went very smoothly," said Wade.
"How long did it take you to succeed?" Michael asked with great interest.
Wade did not hide it and said directly: "Once."
"Cool!" Michael said excitedly. "If I didn't know how hard this was, I would have thought it was as easy as a Cleansing Charm! They should give you an Order of Merlin!"
He was so happy as if he had learned it himself.
