Jellyfish That Shouldn't Exist
Chapter 821 Jellyfish That Shouldn't Exist
As Adebayo was instantly lifted up by the violent airflow and ejected from the plane, newspapers, magazines, lunch boxes, blankets, and other items all rushed toward the hole.
Passengers nearby were not spared either; they quickly grabbed the armrests of their seats, letting out terrified screams.
With the howling wind, the biting cold rushed in with the thin air, and the temperature inside the cabin suddenly dropped rapidly to below zero, making people wearing short sleeves and shorts feel as if they had fallen into an ice cave.
The passengers' emotions shifted from brief shock and remorse to extreme fear.
But this time, the panic was suppressed by the immense physical force. Everyone felt short of breath, as if their lungs were being tightly gripped by an icy hand. The violent airflow made it impossible for them to talk. They could only futilely grab the handrails, their faces filled with suffocating despair.
Lupin had just helped Sirius Black, who had fallen to the ground, when he saw Adebayo jump out of the cave and immediately shouted angrily:
"That guy's trying to escape!"
Moody, limping but still running incredibly fast, was drawn towards the hole by the airflow, roaring, "I'm going to kill that brat!"
"Take this with you!"
Wade pulled out his pencil case and shook it in the air. The pencil case instantly transformed into a wardrobe space, and then two brooms flew out.
Moody, who was about to fall through the hole, immediately reached out and summoned one of the brooms into his hand. Lupin, without saying a word, put down Sirius Black, grabbed the broom that swept past him, and flipped himself over, actually getting through the hole before Moody did.
"Aaaaaah—Help me—"
Thomas O'Brien let out a heart-wrenching scream.
He had just kindly pulled a female passenger who was almost sucked out, but he himself accidentally dislocated his shoulder and was swept by the airflow towards the cave entrance.
The man's shoulder slammed against the back of the seat with a thud, his head went through the hole and half of his body went out, and suddenly a huge force pulled at his ankle.
Meanwhile, the screams in the cabin reached a new peak, with passengers screaming as if they had seen a ghost.
Thomas O'Brien had no time to think; his mind was completely consumed by fear and the will to survive. He flailed wildly in the air, screaming incessantly.
Various small objects flew out of the cabin and kept hitting him, like countless bullets, but O'Brien felt no pain at all, only praying that the people behind him would not let go.
Fortunately, the person who grabbed him was incredibly strong. In the tug-of-war with the air pressure and strong winds, the other man actually gained the upper hand and slowly pulled Thomas O'Brien back into the cabin.
Finally, the man stepped onto the solid floor of the plane again. He knelt on the ground, trembling, and almost burst into tears.
Once he could catch his breath, Thomas O'Brien's first thought was that he had to thank his savior properly, no matter what.
"Thanks, friend. You saved my life. If I survive this, I will definitely..."
He raised his head as he spoke, but before he could finish, his hoarse voice suddenly stopped.
Thomas O'Brien finally understood why the passengers had screamed so desperately earlier—
A dozen long tentacles danced slowly in the air, each one thicker than Thomas O'Brien's arm.
Seeing these tentacles, Thomas O'Brien finally understood why his savior had won the "tug-of-war" just now...
What grabbed him wasn't a human being at all, but these terrifying tentacles!
Not only O'Brien, but almost all the passengers and seats near the hole were controlled by the tentacles, which is why they weren't sucked out; only some small things were thrown into the void. Behind the tentacles, an even larger body was slowly squeezing out from a narrow doorway—
That was a giant jellyfish that could make anyone lose SAN value just by looking at it!
Thomas O'Brien froze, standing rooted to the spot, watching the jellyfish float in the air, swim past him, and then "snap" onto the hole, perfectly filling the gap in the plane.
Only then, with its antennae waving, did it finally let the other passengers off.
This time, the passengers didn't scream. Instead, they looked stunned and bewildered, unable to accept reality. Their faces were frozen with the expression of screaming, and their eyes were like sleepwalkers as they stared at the jellyfish that shouldn't have been on the plane, much less existed there.
Thomas O'Brien turned his head inch by inch, looking towards the entrance to economy class.
Harry knelt on the ground, barely supporting Sirius's upper body. Hermione struggled to hold back her tears as she carefully fed Sirius a vial of potion.
Then Vader emerged from the wardrobe space, carrying two more bottles of potions.
“This is the best antidote, a special version made by Professor Snape.” Wade half-squatted down and handed the potion to Hermione, saying, “Give him this too, he should be able to hold out until we get to St. Mungo’s.”
Hermione nodded vigorously and hurriedly uncorked the bottle.
Upon hearing Snape's name, Harry subconsciously frowned and asked, "Wade, is this reliable? How did you end up with Snape's antidote?"
Wade said, "Because I'm not Gryffindor? Professor Snape wouldn't be targeting me on purpose."
Harry was speechless.
He still couldn't accept the idea that "Snape might be a good professor for some students," but seeing the terrible bluish-black color on Sirius's face gradually fade, Harry breathed a sigh of relief and couldn't help but feel a bit of gratitude towards Snape.
"I said--"
A voice came from behind them.
Victor pointed ahead and said, "Shouldn't we deal with that area too?"
A young man who was kneeling on the floor stood up. His face was blackened by smoke, but he still managed to wear a relaxed smile.
He put away the electric drill in his hand, pointed to a small hole about the thickness of a finger at his feet, and said loudly:
"The entire cargo hold down here is on fire! About 80% of the luggage inside is gone! The fire is quite terrifying; if left unattended, important pipelines will soon be destroyed as well!"
Thomas O'Brien stared at him blankly—how could you say something so horrific in such a relaxed tone?
The other passengers had similar expressions to him; their emotions had been exhausted by the repeated rollercoaster ride, and they didn't even have the strength to scream. They just had a sense of "Ah... I'm finally going to die."
"That's it..."
Wade sighed and said, "These guys are even crazier than I thought..."
Victor raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "Luckily you were prepared, weren't you?"
Wade shrugged: "There's no way around it, we can't fall into the same trap twice."
As he spoke, he raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
In an instant, dozens, even hundreds, of stone golems surged out of the wardrobe space, each with sandbags, mud, or dry ice on its head, and kept rushing out!
