Chapter 501
: The Black Family’s Tent
Chapter 501: The Black Family’s Tent
A group of students wearing blue and rose-red robes walked right past Wade, laughing and discussing a recent game.
"Ten to three hundred and ninety...hahahaha...this is the first time I've seen such a big gap in a match..."
The smile on Lupin's face suddenly disappeared. He touched his nose, seeming a little angry and embarrassed.
"what happened?"
Wade looked at the golden buttons on the students' clothes and asked in confusion.
"They were talking about the match between England and Transylvania," Lupin whispered. "England only got ten points."
"Oh." Wade understood a little, but he thought it was okay.
Well, he'd seen worse matches in the Muggle World Cup, and he'd stopped getting angry about it a long time ago.
Then Vader asked, "Transylvania? I remember it was in Romania."
"That's true in the Muggle world, but in the wizarding world, Transylvania is a special place and cannot be confused with Romania."
Lupin said cautiously, "That place is home to many dark magic creatures, and some powerful dark wizards live in seclusion."
As they were talking, the group of students had already walked past the two of them, and then Wade saw Sirius and Harry.
Harry squatted in front of the tent, using a few sticks of firewood to build a rickety frame, trying to start a campfire.
Sirius stood in the open space at the door with his hands in his pockets, talking to a wizard with a half-smile.
The wizard was wearing a yellow and black Quidditch robe and looked like a fat wasp. He had a happy and lively smile on his face and round blue eyes, which made him look more like a big boy who had not graduated.
"Oh, Ludo Bagman," Lupin frowned.
"Dear Sirius, would you like to place a bet on the game?"
Bagman said enthusiastically: "Ireland vs. Peru, the odds are three to one! Bulgaria vs. Wales, Krum plays, it's a sure win!"
"You can also bet on which team will score the first goal, who will catch the golden snitch, and which two teams will make it to the finals... How about it, are you interested?"
"Come and have a try! If you miss this chance you'll have to wait four years!"
Sirius showed a playful smile, holding a few gold Galleons in his hand, raised an eyebrow and asked: "If I can win without losing, then you are doomed to lose, right? I heard that in the previous England team's game, you almost lost your wand to others!"
A trace of embarrassment flashed across Bagman's face, then he laughed twice and patted Sirius on the shoulder:
"You win and you lose. Isn't that the charm of the game? Bet ten Galleons and win thirty back! This kind of opportunity doesn't come along every day!"
Sirius was about to speak when Lupin interrupted him, "Good morning, Sirius, Bagman."
Seeing Lupin and Vader, the smile on Sirius's face became genuine, but Bagman's forehead began to sweat.
"Haha, I was wondering who it was, it turned out to be Remus. Of course, of course, you will definitely come to watch the game together."
Bagman laughed dryly and stepped back. "Come to think of it, Ponte wanted to make a bet with me just now! I'm going to go talk to him first! See you later, friends!"
After he finished speaking, he left in a hurry without waiting for the others to speak. "How strange! This is the first time I've seen someone who is afraid of you but not me." Sirius looked at Lupin jokingly and asked, "Why, have you visited him when the moonlight was good?"
"What? No! Of course not!" Lupin looked around, then said, "I saw him go to Marchionne to borrow money before - Bagman is about to lose everything, and he is thinking of using this competition to make a comeback!"
"By gambling?" Sirius laughed sarcastically, "This is crazy! Hasn't he thought about what would happen if he lost?"
"If he could think long-term, he wouldn't become a gambler," said Lupin.
While the two adults were talking, Harry greeted Wade and they both went into the tent.
Sirius's tent looked spectacular from the outside, and it looked more like a palace inside. It was actually divided into two floors, with a bathroom and kitchen. There was a bedroom for each of the four people, and the space was still very spacious.
The bedroom prepared for Wade had also been tidied up in advance, with brand new sheets and quilts, emitting a faint smell of being exposed to the sun.
Kreacher was standing by the door. When he saw Wade, he bowed and said, "Kreacher is preparing lunch. What would Master Wade like to eat for lunch?"
"Steak will do, thanks, Kreacher."
Wade said casually. When he saw Kreacher holding a spatula and running to the kitchen to work, he looked at Harry and asked, "Did you bring Kreacher with you?"
"It wasn't our idea. Kreacher insisted on coming along," said Harry. "He felt that without him, the best Sirius could do was to keep us from starving to death."
"But I see you're still outside making a fire?" Wade asked.
"Just for fun," Harry shrugged. "Sirius thought it was more camping."
In fact, he himself found it very interesting.
The Dursleys had never taken Harry to a camping trip, so this was his first time participating in such an activity. He wanted to actually try out all the things he had only seen on TV.
That is to say, Harry had been in the camp for almost a week before Wade came, otherwise Wade would have seen a savior running around excitedly.
Vader toured the tent and the two returned to the open space in front.
The bonfire was already lit, and Kreacher helped skewer some meat and vegetables, as well as a couple of fish, so that they could roast them over the fire.
Wade and Harry sat on stools, twirling the thin sticks in their hands, watching the meat sizzle as it was licked by the flames, while discussing their holiday homework and their recent lives.
"...I've even read all the Potions books to avoid Snape getting in trouble with me again," said Harry. "But I haven't written the Divination paper yet, although I doubt Professor Trelawney will take it seriously."
"Done at the Dursleys'?" Wade asked.
"Yeah, Sirius lives nearby, and Uncle Vernon can't put away all my magic books..." Harry muttered.
When Harry didn't show the scar on his forehead, the two students who were having a barbecue by themselves were inconspicuous in the camp, but Sirius was as attractive as a spotlight.
When Wade was sitting nearby, he saw waves of people coming to talk to Sirius, including officials from the Ministry of Magic, some wizards from pure-blood families, his former classmates, and young witches who came because of his reputation.
He looked at Harry: "Shall we go find Michael and the others after we finish eating?"
"Okay!" Harry nodded in agreement: "Let's find a quiet place."
