Chapter 625

Patching the Plan

Chapter 625 Patching the Plan

"Ha ha ha ha……"

Arrogant laughter echoed in the principal's office. Mist billowed in the meditation basin, reflecting Ryan Smith's face, which was distorted by excitement.

He tilted his head back, his nose bleeding, and laughed wildly, as if he had grasped supreme power.

Then, the figure fell into the Pensieve and merged into the slowly swirling silver mist.

Dumbledore took off his glasses and rubbed his forehead. He felt that the image would not disappear from his mind for a while.

"I have to ask, Vader—"

Dumbledore looked at the boy opposite him: "Did you cast a Confusion Charm on him that makes him insane? Or did you let him take an overdose of Felicis?"

"None of them." Wade shook his head and said, "Giving him the Felicis Potion may bring bad luck to me. My Confusion Charm only made him think that he had obtained the knowledge of Ravenclaw. As for the rest, it was all Ryan Smith's own play."

"In other words, that is his true inner desire - to help Voldemort unify the wizarding world, and to use Voldemort as a tool to achieve his ambitions?"

Even though Dumbledore was knowledgeable and experienced, he didn't know how to evaluate this behavior, and a hint of confusion even appeared unconsciously in his eyes.

Even if Ryan Smith really obtained Rowena Ravenclaw's knowledge and wisdom, how could he be sure that he could transform knowledge into power?

Magic power, practical skills, adaptability... in which aspect did he think he was superior to Voldemort?
Even more than a thousand years ago, Rowena Ravenclaw was not the most powerful person at that time!
For someone like Dumbledore, who was used to thinking carefully, it was difficult for him to understand Ryan's incredibly shallow thoughts.

"I am also surprised." Weed said calmly, "A man who looks calm, wise and friendly, after thinking he has gained power, turns out to be uglier than many Death Eaters."

Dumbledore tapped the Pensieve gently and asked, "So... Vader, what is your plan?"

——How do you plan to use this ambitious young man?

Wade did not avoid Dumbledore's gaze. He leaned forward slightly, his eyes bright.

"Professor, do you think...if Voldemort discovered Ryan's shallowness and ambition, would he give up using him?"

"No." Dumbledore said without hesitation: "Tom is a young man who is more confident than anyone else. He is not afraid of the ambitions of his subordinates."

"So, the more superficial Ryan Smith's performance is, the more Voldemort will believe that he can control him."

Vader said: "He can't trust his former Death Eaters, but he might leak some secrets to people like Ryan, such as his hiding place, which Death Eaters are available around him... and his next plan."

Dumbledore nodded slightly.

Wade couldn't keep using the Confusion Charm to make Ryan mistakenly believe that he had acquired the wisdom of Ravenclaw. In that short period of time, the knowledge he sent into Ryan's mind using memory-modifying magic was not as much as Ryan thought.

And there is a subtle point here - Ryan thought he had gained ancient wisdom, but Voldemort thought Ryan was bewitched by his own soul fragments.

Voldemort couldn't confirm Ryan's condition through the communication pea, and he could be blinded by Wade's magic. But if the two of them met secretly in private, the truth might be exposed soon.

Apart from anything else, if Ryan gave the "crown" to Voldemort, he would immediately recognize that it was just a fake.

Only Dumbledore could give this plan a complete patch and make it what Vader wanted.

After discussing the plan, Wade returned to the dormitory to catch up on his sleep. The Christmas party last night had consumed the students' usually abundant energy. When he returned to the common room, most people had not yet gotten up. Meanwhile, Dumbledore did not put away the Pensieve, but immersed himself in it, watching Ryan's search for the crown last night in person.

In Wade's memory, he had already cast the Disillusionment Charm, so even Dumbledore couldn't find Wade out of thin air at this time.

But he knew that the Vader in his memory was by his side.

Dumbledore looked at Ryan, who was rummaging through the book in sweat, with a look of solemnity and worry on his face, which finally turned into a silent sigh.

……

Although many things have undergone tremendous changes with Wade's participation, some small things seem to have happened as scheduled under the manipulation of fate.

For example, Ron and Hermione had another argument, Hagrid annoyed Madame Maxime by revealing that he was a half-giant, and Harry overheard Snape and Karkaroff arguing in the garden.

"Those two must have some secret!" he assured Wade. "They even call each other by their Christian names."

"So?" Wade said, "Harry, professors have friends and socialize with other people besides being our professors. Isn't that normal?"

"This is normal for other people, but it's so strange for Snape!" Harry said stubbornly: "I can't imagine him making friends -"

He thought for a moment, then added, "If he has a friend, it must be the potion material lying in the crucible that has been processed."

"Don't worry about Professor Snape's friendships, Harry." Hermione tapped Harry's shoulder with a quill and asked, "Haven't you figured out the secret of the golden egg yet?"

Vader was stunned.

"No, I'm trying to figure it out..."

Harry subconsciously said perfunctorily, paused, and then reluctantly added: "Last night, Cedric suggested that I take the golden egg to the prefect's bathroom to take a bath."

Hermione was stunned: "... taking a bath?"

Then, noticing that Vader looked a little odd, she asked, "What do you think, Vader?"

"I..." Wade looked at Harry and asked, "Didn't I tell you that I already knew the clues provided by the golden egg?"

"What?" Harry grabbed Wade's arm and said in surprise, "You cracked it? When? What did that scream mean?"

Then he remembered Wade's question and added, "You didn't tell me."

"Well, I thought I told you..."

Wade touched his nose, repeated the song he had heard, and then said:
"When the golden egg is placed in water, the screams will turn into mermaid songs. I suggest you go and listen to it yourself, just in case our clues are different."

Harry nodded and silently wrote down the clues that Wade had just given.

He was reluctant to accept Cedric's help because Cedric was now the person he hated the most, but if it was Vader's reminder, there would be no problem.
