Chapter 218
Harassment Flies and Pets
Chapter 218 Harassment Flies and Pets
"Don't be weird." Vader said, "How was your date with Padma? Did it go well this time?"
"What, what date?" Michael was shocked, his face flushed and he stammered, "We're not dating... we're just, uh, just discussing problems..."
Vader looked at him as if he were a fool.
Michael finally stopped quibbling. He scratched his hair and asked tentatively, "Who knows about this?"
"rest assured……"
When Michael's expression softened, Wade continued, "Everyone noticed it, except for one slow-witted guy."
Michael's expression froze, and his eyes gradually became desperate.
"Then, during this period of time..."
"Yeah. Everyone thought it was funny that you guys were trying so hard to hide it, so no one said anything... But after the last time, we all thought you guys had already revealed it! But you haven't yet?"
Wade pretended to say, "Ah, sorry...then just forget what I said."
"How could I forget!" Michael complained, and immediately stood up: "No, I'm going to ask Terry... I don't believe everyone knows it!"
Terry was Michael's roommate.
Seeing him trying to hide his embarrassment and running away, Wade couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"You don't look very happy."
Suddenly, a somewhat ethereal voice was heard not far away.
It turned out that Luna was sitting on the sofa not far away. She was reading a magazine with the cover covering her entire face.
At this time, the girl lowered the magazine a little, and her misty eyes looked over the top of the magazine, staring at Wade.
The smile on Wade's face froze instantly. That look made people feel as if their skin was pierced, which was uncomfortable.
After a moment, he put away his smile and nodded: "Ms. Luna Lovegood? Your magazine seems to be held upside down."
"It's okay." Luna said in that slow tone, "It needs to be read upside down... Do you need help?"
"...Help?" Wade struggled to understand what she meant: "Where do you think I need help?"
Luna pulled out a pair of strange pink glasses from somewhere and put them on. She looked at Vader carefully again and then nodded as if to confirm.
"You're being entangled by harassment flies...Do you want me to help you get rid of them?"
"...Harassment Fly?"
"A kind of invisible bug that floats into your ears and messes with your brain," Luna said with certainty.
Vader suddenly remembered that believing that some imaginary creatures really existed seemed to be a characteristic of Luna.
He was silent for a while. He didn't want to argue with a little girl about whether harassment flies existed, so he asked in a coaxing manner: "Well...how do you get rid of them?"
"Oh, this is easy."
Luna put the book down and walked over to Vader. She stretched out her arms and made slapping and driving motions. Because there was nothing around her, it looked like she was doing a strange dance.
The sound of other students sneering could be heard not far away.
But Luna didn't seem to hear it at all. She was conscientious in helping Wade drive away the "harassment flies", and sometimes she would jump up and down, causing the bottle cork on the hairband to bounce up and hit the back of her head.
Wade thought she was both weird and cute, which caused him, who was sitting next to her, to waver between "embarrassing" and "interesting", and his mood strangely became much better.
Ever since he heard about the bait plan, some of the bad emotions in his heart immediately dissipated.
Luna stopped and turned to look over. "Look, the harassment flies have been driven away. Isn't that effective?"
"Yes." Wade smiled and said, "Thank you, Miss Lovegood."
"You can call me Luna, I don't mind."
After Luna finished speaking, she returned to the sofa and had no intention of continuing the conversation. Instead, she continued to cover herself with the magazine.
Wade sat there for a while until Luna returned to the dormitory, then he got up and walked towards the boys' dormitory.
Suddenly, a brown-haired girl was pushed in front of him, and a few girls behind her giggled.
The brown-haired girl turned her head and glared, then looked at Wade and mustered up the courage to speak: "Um... Wade Grey, I... uh... I..."
She stammered and couldn't finish a sentence for a while.
Vader looked down at her and asked, "As I recall... you seemed to be Luna's roommate?"
"Yes, yes!" The girl pushed her hair behind her ears, raised her eyes to look at him, and asked vigilantly: "You and Crazy Girl... What is your relationship with Luna..."
"She should be considered a friend, right?" Wade smiled. "Or rather, she's like a considerate sister. I'm glad she has a roommate like you who looks so kind."
“No…no…”
The girl looked a little unnatural, and her fingers were unconsciously fiddling with her hair. The girls behind her looked at each other, all with embarrassed expressions.
Wade seemed not to notice and said gently:
"Luna's personality is a little difficult to get along with, luckily you are willing to tolerate her. If she occasionally says something unpleasant, you don't have to tolerate it, just tell her directly. She is not a bad child, she just doesn't know how to get along with others."
"No, no, actually everyone has gotten used to it... After all, we are... friends! Haha..."
The brown-haired girl tried to put on a 'kind and friendly' smile.
Wade glanced over and saw the girls behind him all showing smiles that were expected of "friends of the younger sister".
"Thank you. She is so lucky to have friends like you."
Wade took out a handful of mini magic pets from his bag, handed them over and said, "These are some of the little gadgets I usually make. You can play with them."
"Wow--"
Several girls covered their mouths in surprise.
In the thin palms, there are several magical pets such as cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens as big as fingernails. Some are lying down, some are playing in a ball, and some seem to be looking for food. They have short claws and fat bodies, and look very cute.
Each one is so cute that you can't take your eyes off it.
Counting the number, after each of them gets one, there will still be one left.
The brown-haired girl was a little embarrassed to accept it, as her companions had already picked out what they liked, so she had no choice but to take a kitten, and then held the last bunny in her hands.
"I'll pass this on to Luna...did you forget to give it to her just now?"
She said gently.
Wade smiled and said, "Yes. Thank you for your help."
Watching several first-year girls leave excitedly, Wade smiled and walked into the spiral staircase.
At the same time, some of the words that Marchionne had repeatedly instilled in him echoed in his mind. Thinking about it now, it made sense.
In some cases, words are more powerful than violence.
