Chapter 240
Dreams and Storms
Chapter 240 Dreams and Storms
The continuous rain continued from noon to evening.
At first it was just a little drip, then it gradually became louder, hitting the windowsill with a crackling sound, as if playing music.
There is limited water vapor in the atmosphere, and after this rain, there may be no storms for more than ten days.
After returning home, Lupin said to Vader: "I hope you are not too disappointed, Vader."
"James and his friends decided to learn Animagus in their second year, but they didn't succeed until their fifth year. Most of them are like this - it takes several years or even more than ten years of accumulation before they can take that step."
"Compared to them, you are already very fast. Maybe you just need to wait a few weeks until the most suitable time comes."
"By then, you will be better prepared than you are now."
Seeing the worry in Lupin's eyes, Vader smiled and said, "I understand. I was prepared to fail a few times... Besides, I haven't failed yet. I just need to keep waiting, right?"
Lupin smiled in relief and said, "Of course...don't forget the spell when the sun sets."
"I see."
Wade read a book in the study for a while. When he realized that he had not turned the pages for a long time, the alarm clock suddenly made a shrill sound.
He reached out to turn off the alarm, pointed the tip of his wand at his heart, and whispered, "Amado, Animado, Animagus."
"Boom!"
In his chest, a strong and powerful heartbeat responded to his spell, as if a creature was eager to break through the blockade and get out.
Wade turned his head and saw the long and thin water marks left by the rain on the glass. The later ones followed the earlier ones, drawing an intersecting trajectory, and then were replaced by new ones in an instant.
He felt that he was not actually very disappointed. Just like he had told Lupin, he had been prepared to work hard for two or three years.
Failing two or three times in the Mandrake step was considered a small number, and even six or seven times was not a lot...but he succeeded almost on the first try.
Chanting a mantra is a continuous and long process. If you accidentally fall into a coma or oversleep, you may have to start all over again.
But he strictly adhered to the time he set and never missed it once.
However, the closer he got to success, the longer the wait seemed. He knew the rainstorm would eventually come, but every minute and every second before that seemed to be stretched out.
Vader simply poured himself a small glass of Butterbeer (alcoholic version) and drank it all in one gulp.
Normally, such a small amount of alcohol would only make a creature like a house-elf drunk.
The bitterness of beer and the aroma of cream linger in the throat, followed by a slight spicy feeling and a more complex aroma.
Wade seemed to understand why some people like to drink this yellow drink.
He just felt a little bit dizzy, and everything around him seemed to become lighter, and his mood was much more relaxed. Wade restrained his thoughts of "having another drink", lay down on the bed, and pulled the quilt up to his chin.
"Go to sleep."
he told himself.
"We have to wake up before sunrise tomorrow morning!"
……
Vader didn't realize he was dreaming.
He flew in the sky, misty white clouds passed by him, the Hogwarts castle seemed very far away, while the moon and stars seemed very close.
The huge full moon, as bright as a lake, hung overhead, emitting bright light.
Countless stars accompanied him, but when he looked closer, they were actually spherical, bumpy stones, some of which even shone with metallic luster.
In his dream, Vader suddenly felt puzzled—shouldn't most of the stars be stars? His brain immediately gave him an answer: he was flying in the asteroid belt of the solar system.
A huge, dark gray planet suddenly and quietly passed by Vader, completely blocking the moon and almost obscuring the entire field of vision.
Such a huge creature naturally makes people feel small and terrified. At the same time, the name of this planet immediately emerged in his mind -
Ceres.
The largest asteroid in the solar system.
Vader subconsciously tried to distance himself from it, but he suddenly discovered that Ceres' gravity was pulling him towards it.
It became so difficult to leave that when he tried to fly out, the surrounding meteorites shot towards him like bullets!
Wade dodged hurriedly, but was still hit by several fist-sized stones. The whole world seemed to be shaking!
He opened his eyes suddenly and saw Lupin grabbing his shoulders and shaking him hard.
"Ved, wake up! The rainstorm is coming!"
Before he could finish his words, a flash of lightning filled the sky and the dim room suddenly became as bright as day!
The light flashed and disappeared, and a few seconds later, rumbling thunder rolled in from the distance.
Wade's drowsy brain immediately became clear, and he jumped out of bed, glad that he had forgotten to change clothes before going to bed. He grabbed his coat and threw it on, then ran downstairs with Lupin.
With a "bang", the window of Wade's bedroom suddenly opened, and heavy rain immediately poured in, along with a dark figure.
"Don't waste time!" Sirius shouted, "We don't know how long the rainstorm will last, let's fly over!"
His voice was actually a little unclear amid the thunder, but both of them saw the broom in his hand.
Wade grabbed a handful, jumped on it and flew out of the window, landing on the ground a second later. When lightning flashed across the sky again, he went into the cellar and found the crystal bottle hidden there before.
The transparent bottle was filled with blood-red potion, reflecting bright light, and there was only enough for one mouthful.
"Very good, everything goes well, let's go!"
Sirius shouted, "Vade, follow me!"
Three flying brooms flew out with a whoosh, like petrels fighting against the storm.
Sirius led the way, Wade was in the middle, and Lupin followed closely behind. The three of them lined up in a line and walked through the rain. After entering the forest, they all slowed down at the same time.
With the help of the lightning, Sirius could see the entrance and exit he had left before. The three of them passed through like flying arrows and landed on the wet grass.
Wade jumped off the broom, glanced at the other two, and without hesitation, pointed his wand at his heart and chanted the spell again -
"Amador, Animo, Animado, Animagus."
Then he pulled the cork and drank the potion with his head tilted back.
Intense pain suddenly swept through the whole body. The muscles seemed to be melting, and every bone seemed to be broken and reshaped. The skin all over the body felt dense and painful, as if thousands or tens of thousands of steel needles were about to pierce out of the flesh.
His hands and feet began to twist and deform, his head shrank rapidly, and his body also underwent strange changes, as if it was merging with his clothes...
At the same time, the image of a certain creature emerged in his mind. Wade jumped forward without hesitation, letting the magic power naturally respond to the call.
The black-haired boy seemed to melt in an instant.
A bird of prey with a blue sheen flapped its wings and disappeared from the spot in an instant!
