Chapter 621
Dance
Chapter 621 Dance
Although Natalia did not really provide Clementine with any clues about the second project, once the other party softened his attitude, she could no longer continue to speak coldly.
The conversation between the two gradually turned into relaxed chatting, and from a distance, they looked like a pair of close friends with a harmonious relationship.
When everyone was seated, there was still no food on the golden plates, only a menu in front of everyone. Many students looked around in confusion, and stretched their necks to see if there was any food on other long tables.
Wade picked up the menu and flipped through it. Although he knew what to do, he still looked towards the teacher's seat.
Dumbledore looked at the menu and said happily, "Pork chop!"
A sizzling grilled pork chop immediately appeared on his plate. This demonstration made everyone suddenly realize and follow suit.
Wade said slowly, "Fried goose liver, onion soup, carrot stewed beef..."
Every time a dish is named, the corresponding meal will suddenly appear on the table, shining attractively against the backdrop of golden tableware, and exuding an aroma that will make you salivate.
Clementine was recommending to Natalia: "If nothing else, you must try this baked snail with butter. This is the only dish that tastes the most authentic..."
Natalia would also talk about their school -
"In Kodos Doris, there is always a refill of borscht on the table in the restaurant. You will never be disappointed no matter when you go."
"Our castle is much bigger than this one, and the classrooms are spacious. Hogwarts - oh, sorry, Weider - the classrooms in Hogwarts always make me feel a little crowded."
"I heard that Kodos Doris seals the gate to Hell. Is that true?" Clementine asked curiously.
“Hahaha…that’s just a legend!” Natalia laughed. “There’s no mysterious place like that in our school. The most worth seeing are those ice sculptures that never melt all year round.”
"Maybe you just don't know." Clementine said thoughtfully, "Old magic schools all have many secrets, but they are never reluctant to tell their students, right, Mr. Grey? I guess Hogwarts must have countless secrets."
"Maybe?" Wade forked a piece of foie gras and said with a light smile, "Like you said, as students, we won't know the secrets even if there are any."
Clementine looked at him seriously, then turned to Natalia and whispered, "You're lying! He must know a lot of secret rooms, but he just doesn't want to tell us."
"If he doesn't want to tell us, then we shouldn't ask." Natalia didn't care. She said slowly, "This caramel pudding is good. Would you like some?"
When the last of the puff pastry disappeared from the plate, Dumbledore asked everyone to stand up and waved his wand lightly.
The long tables and chairs flew to the wall with a whoosh, and the center of the auditorium became a dance floor. The Weird Sisters (a famous rock band in the wizarding world) took the stage to the applause of the crowd.
As the cello sounded, the magic candles on the ceiling dimmed, and were replaced by countless floating starlights that slowly rotated in the darkness.
There were also some firefly-like lights falling down and floating around the crowd, like little fish swimming in the air, making the dance floor look particularly dreamy.
"It's our turn!"
Natalia quickly put on her lipstick and saw Vader stand up. She then bowed slightly and extended a hand.
"Are you ready?"
"Of course!"
Natalia took a deep breath, placed her fingertips on Wade's palm, and reminded him worriedly: "Be careful, don't step on my skirt."
"Don't worry, I'm not good at dancing, but I shouldn't be that clumsy."
Wade placed his hand gently on Natalia's waist and held her hand with his. The two of them spun and slid into the dance floor. The girl's skirt blossomed like a deep blue cornflower. "You danced well." After a moment, Natalia smiled and whispered, "Did you practice secretly?"
"My mother taught me."
Vader explained simply, taking her for a spin.
He glanced at Harry who was slowly turning in circle and saw a thin layer of cold sweat on his forehead, as if dancing with a girl was more tiring than fighting a dragon.
Harry didn't ask Wade to teach him dancing, because he knew that Wade's time would not be enough even if he split it in half. So during the holidays, Harry secretly went to Hogsmeade through the Vanishing Cabinet and learned from Sirius for several days. Now when it comes to the actual performance, he is still a little stiff.
Hermione and Krum danced much better. She had a bright smile on her face and her dance steps were very brisk. Krum followed her rhythm very well and his eyes almost never left Hermione's face.
"What's wrong?" Natalia's voice suddenly sounded in my ears, with a hint of cold ridicule: "My dance steps are not as good as those two over there?"
"Sorry." Wade laughed softly, and after turning the girl half a circle away from the classmates over there, he said, "Harry is not good at dancing, so I am actually looking forward to him making a fool of himself."
"Oh? I thought you liked the girl in the blue dress!" Natalia emphasized "blue dress" and looked up at him with a playful smile in her eyes.
"Hermione is my friend." Wade said softly, "It seems that she and Krum are getting along very well."
"More than good. Krum looks like he's fallen in love." Natalia said with a smile.
……
The warriors danced the opening song, and before the music was over, the rest of the crowd joined in. The originally spacious hall suddenly seemed crowded, with robes and skirts intertwined into flowing waves.
The first dance music is melodious and soothing, and the following melodies gradually become cheerful. The guitar bursts out jumping notes, and the drum beats urge people to speed up their dance steps.
Vader and Natalia danced three songs in a row, and only when the prelude to the fourth song sounded did he take a step back and let go of her hand.
"Aren't you going to dance anymore?" Natalia asked regretfully, her breathing a little rapid because of the dance just now.
"I'm going to take a break." Wade adjusted his collar and asked, "Would you like something to drink? I'll get it."
In the dance floor where lights and music intertwined, the boiling and enthusiastic emotions of the crowd did not seem to infect him at all, and his gray eyes still looked very calm.
"No need." Natalia looked into Vader's eyes and smiled: "I plan to dance for a while longer!"
As soon as the two separated, a boy appeared as if by a phantom, immediately bent down and extended his hand to invite her to dance.
Natalia glanced at Vader again, then happily put her hand on him.
Wade walked past the spinning dance partners and headed for the table in the corner. As he approached, a glass of clear water appeared on the table.
After drinking the water, I felt a little relieved from the heat brought by the dance. The laughter, music, and even quarrels around me mixed together, making my temples throb.
Wade had no intention of staying in the noisy hall. He walked out of the castle through the entrance hall. The cold air outside suddenly made his mind clear.
He was wondering whether to return to the dormitory or go to the Room of Requirement when he heard a stifled sob.
"Give me back my Galleons, Bagman!" Professor Trelawney cried, her trembling voice sounding particularly sharp. "My money...my entire savings...you liar!"
