Chapter 500

Wizard Camp

Chapter 500 Wizard Camp
Wade strode out from the fireplace and saw a man who looked like a monkey fiddling with bones, eyeballs, shells and the like. On the table in front of him were two wine glasses and a bottle of rum.

This is a very small bar with only four or five tables in total. There are weird three-headed dog heads hanging on the walls, and the ceiling is decorated with countless live bats.

Hearing the voice, he raised his eyes and glanced at Vader, then his gaze fell on Lupin.

"Long time no see, Remus." The man smiled happily and said, "I heard that you got rich recently. Do you want to buy anything?"

"Thank you, Acosta." Lupin nodded and said, "I'm not buying anything today. I'm just borrowing your fireplace for a while."

"alright."

The man's smile suddenly disappeared, and his butt that was about to be raised fell back. He said gloomily: "Forget it this time, but next time don't bring this brat to my store."

Lupin smiled, not minding his attitude, and let Vader grab his arm before saying, "Get ready, we're going to Apparate!"

With a "bang", there was a loud bang in the bar, and the two people who had just arrived disappeared like phantoms.

Acosta slouched over the table, continuing to work on the slimy eyeball in his hands.

The eyeball came from a fire dragon and was as big as an adult's fist. Acosta took tweezers and slowly tore off the mucous membrane on it.

With a "bang", the door of the bar was suddenly pushed open, and the light from outside poured in. Acosta subconsciously covered his eyes.

"Why are all of you so unruly?" Acosta said loudly in dissatisfaction: "Dude, we are closed during the day."

"Sorry, I have something I have to buy."

A hooded and cloaked figure walked in, raised his head, and revealed a pale face.

As soon as Acosta saw him, he smiled.

"Ah, if it's you, of course I can make an exception. But in exchange, you have to tell me how you escaped from Azkaban... Gal."

Gal pulled the corners of his mouth, revealing an expression that looked like he was half crying and half laughing.

……

Lupin took Vader and Apparated into a forest. The surrounding trees were lush and green, and noisy sounds came from the distance.

"Who is that Acosta?" Wade asked curiously, "He looks like..."

"...like a dark wizard?" Lupin laughed. "In fact, he is a vampire. His bar does not accept ordinary people, and most wizards don't know it. Only unwelcome werewolves, vampires or dark wizards like us can buy some hard-to-get things from him."

Vader nodded thoughtfully: "Is he your friend?"

"Not really... this way," Lupin said as he led Vader through the woods. "I've helped him a few times, and he's helped me a few times."

"Mercenaries?" Wade asked.

"I guess so, but I never help kill people or cast curses. I just occasionally help people remove curses or solve certain magic traps." Lupin said calmly.

He did not choose to fall in the most difficult times, but he did doubt whether his persistence was still valuable. He knew very well that as long as he lowered his bottom line a little bit, he could live a much better life than most people.

When Lupin talked about those days of struggling to survive now, he could downplay them, as if they were nothing and even quite interesting.

After passing through the woods, Wade saw the camp set up by the wizards. The tents of various sizes were arranged in an orderly manner, and many people were coming in and out of the site. Some people seemed to have just arrived and were struggling to set up their tents.

"Come with me, Vader, our tent is over there."

Lupin led Wade inside, saying as he walked, "Strictly speaking, this is still Muggle territory. There is a Muggle family living just outside the camp. I really don't understand why the Ministry of Magic doesn't just cast a spell and let them go out for a trip or visit relatives. In short, magic is not allowed here, Wade."

Before he finished speaking, Wade saw a wizard who seemed to be tortured by the rods and screws. He looked around secretly, then took out his wand and waved it lightly under his cloak.

The cloak stood up immediately, various small parts quickly ran to their positions, and a hammer quickly nailed all the screws.

The wizard nodded with satisfaction, then took out a huge snakeskin bag from his pocket, reached in, pulled out a handful of clovers, and piled them all on top of the tent.

Then, another child lay on a toy broom, flying slowly over the ground, giggling.

A red-haired woman, probably his mother, chased after him, grabbed the child and shouted, "Kevin! I told you to stay in the tent and not run around!"

The child started to cry loudly, and the woman yelled in an even more violent voice: "Samuel! Samuel! Come out and take care of your son!"

An official from the Ministry of Magic saw the child flying out and was about to come over to deal with it, but when he heard the red-haired woman's roar, he didn't dare to approach. He stood there hesitantly, craning his neck to look.

Vader looked at Lupin: "Can't use magic?"

Lupin smiled and said, "Well, we can't use magic openly. If more people come in a couple of days, I'm afraid the Ministry of Magic won't be able to control it."

"So, they should ask all the Muggles nearby to leave temporarily." Wade said calmly: "The Muggle Repelling Charm is not difficult."

Hearing the contempt and dissatisfaction in Vader's tone, Lupin smiled helplessly.

The Quidditch World Cup was in full swing, and the final in a few days would probably attract wizards from all over the world, but the Ministry of Magic still let Robert, the Muggle manager of the camp, stand at the door to collect fees.

Wizards were unable to consciously abide by the Ministry of Magic's "no use of magic" rule. Poor Robert saw all kinds of strange phenomena every day, and his memory and cognition were constantly changed by the Confusion Spell and the Forgetfulness Spell.

In fact, many people have complained about this, but the Ministry of Magic's reason is: Robert's family playing the role of toll collectors can make the venue look more normal and avoid attracting the attention of other Muggles.

Regardless of whether this reason makes sense or not, the Ministry of Magic - or rather, the senior officials headed by Fudge never listen to other people's opinions.

After passing through many tents, Wade finally saw their destination -

A tent that looks as big as a two-bedroom apartment stands tall. It looks very conspicuous, but without any obvious "traces of magic".

The tent was decorated with a majestic lion statue on the top and many gold and red silk decorations around it, which looked very Gryffindor. The lion looked very realistic, except that it didn't open its mouth and roar.

This was undoubtedly the work of Sirius and Harry.
