Chapter 316

: Wade: Drunk, Drunk

Chapter 316: Wade: Drunk, Drunk

The current headmaster of Hogwarts has silver-white hair and beard that reach down to his waist, and a pair of half-moon glasses perched on his hooked nose.

He had obviously come in a hurry, and was wearing the purple robes of Wizengamot members with a silver "W" embroidered on the chest, and a black smock on the outside, looking mysterious and fashionable.

"Professor Dumbledore!"

Harry was taking a small cake from the refrigerator to fill his stomach. Seeing this, he swallowed the cake in a hurry and almost choked himself.

"Thankfully, Vader came up with a plan, and the Ministry of Magic gave up on capturing Sirius. Fudge and his men left a few minutes ago."

Lupin said, using "spring water" to get Harry a glass of water, then invited the headmaster to sit down and asked:

"Would you like a glass of mead, sir?"

"Oh, was it mead from the Three Broomsticks?" asked Dumbledore.

"of course."

"Then be sure to pour me a glass."

Dumbledore sat on the sofa and said with a regretful tone:
"That's a bit unfortunate. I thought I could catch up with Fudge! So...what clever method did you use to convince him? As far as I know, Fudge is not a person who will give up his goals easily."

"Well... this..."

Wade touched his nose and briefly recounted the previous process.

Lupin poured the mead into several transparent glasses. The honey-yellow liquid exuded a sweet aroma and a faint smell of alcohol.

He waved his wand and the cups automatically floated to each person.

"Me too?" Harry asked in surprise.

"This mead has a very low alcohol content, almost like a drink. You can have a drink too," said Lupin.

Harry lowered his head and took a small sip. He found it to be just like the drink, sweet and sour, with the unique aroma of honey, and very delicious.

While listening to several people talking, he drank a glass of mead in small sips.

Wade was already talking about being thirsty, and now he was holding a drink of mead in his hand, taking a sip after every few words. By the time he talked about the second departure of Fudge and the other men, and the final blessing from the black-skinned Auror, the glass in his hand was empty.

Seeing this, Lupin felt amused at the children's greed and waved his wand to help them fill their glasses.

After Dumbledore heard what Wade said, the corners of his mouth rose and a smile filled his blue eyes.

"Very clever way to help keep Sirius out of jail without causing any conflict - you never cease to amaze me, Vader."

"Yeah, I was ready to chant the spell... I didn't expect that just one sentence could actually make Fudge leave."

Lupin said, also somewhat surprised.

"...I thought you might not be happy, Professor Dumbledore." Wade hesitated and said honestly.

"Oh? Why?" asked Dumbledore.

"Because when I drove Fudge away for the first time, I asked Sirius to use the names of the Witch Party and Grindelwald..."

Vader was candid.

He was able to know the slogans of the Wizarding Party when it was rampant, naturally thanks to the private tutoring Dumbledore gave him. At the same time, he also knew the complicated relationship between Dumbledore and Grindelwald.

Those grey eyes looked at Dumbledore with a hint of worry, as if worried that he might be hurt.

Dumbledore was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said:
"Fudge is afraid of such a big trouble, so he will definitely hesitate. When he realizes that his guess is unreasonable, he will naturally back off."

"You did the right thing - using the little information you had to skillfully protect those around you - I'm proud of you, Vader."

"Oh, thank you."

Wade lowered his head, holding the wine glass, and thought for a while.

There was a question that he knew he shouldn't ask, but there seemed to be an impulse in his heart that kept urging him to speak it out.

"Professor Dumbledore," Wade said, "If you think Grindelwald was wrong to break the Statute of Secrecy, is he right now?"

Dumbledore was stunned again, and after thinking for a while, he said: "No one is absolutely right, Wade. But it is definitely wrong to cause war and kill innocent people - in the hotbed of peace, wizard civilization can develop better." "Oh..." Wade responded indifferently again. Dumbledore suspected that he was not listening at all, because his next sentence was: "Professor, I remember you had red hair when you were young."

"Of course." Dumbledore noticed something was wrong and sighed.

"Oh...are you related to the Weasleys?" Wade asked.

Dumbledore: "...red hair is not a special race, nor are all people with red hair related to the Weasley family."

Vader: "...Oh."

Harry blinked, pointed at Vader and asked Lupin in a low voice, "What's wrong with him?"

"…Drunk?"

Lupin looked at the empty wine glass in Wade's hand and said in confusion, "The alcohol content of this honey water is not high!"

"Anyway, he probably needs some sleep now. I'll take him to his bedroom."

Dumbledore stood up and waved his wand. The small sofa where Wade was sitting was slightly suspended in the air and then slowly floated.

Harry quickly led the way: "My room is upstairs!"

The house had the same layout as the Dursleys', with only three rooms that could be used as bedrooms - one for Lupin, one for Sirius, and one for Harry.

Because the Ministry of Magic has strict supervision in this area, Lupin and Sirius cannot use the Traceless Extension Charm to expand the space at will, otherwise they might really receive two Azkaban Experience Tickets.

Even though Harry hadn't been able to stay overnight in the house recently because he had to stay at the Dursleys', his room was already cluttered with junk, with Harry's homework, textbooks, Quidditch models, and wizard robes scattered everywhere.

He ran back to the bedroom embarrassedly to clean up, and then stuffed all the miscellaneous items into the cupboard.

Wade didn't seem to notice that he was being carried. He went up the steps as if he was sitting on an escalator, while continuing to ask questions with a serious expression -

"Professor, do you think it is right to abolish the death penalty?"

"——If the death penalty still existed in the British wizarding world, Sirius would have died twelve years ago, and there would have been no chance for him to clear his name."

"Professor, if you could go back in time and return to your youth... would you make the same choices as you did in this lifetime?"

"——I don't think so. I have a lot of regrets that I want to change, but there is no chance to start over in life."

"Professor, can you Apparate to the moon?"

"——No, I would die if I went that far. And there is no air on the moon, and no way to breathe."

Wade's questions were strange, but Dumbledore always answered them patiently, then floated him to the bed in the bedroom, put him down, and covered him with a quilt.

"Have a good rest, Wade." Dumbledore said gently, "You look very tired today."

"Dumbledore!"

Seeing that he was about to leave, Wade suddenly sat up, raised his hand, and the wardrobe space clicked open in the center of the room.

Dumbledore turned around and looked at the scene in surprise.

The cabinet door was suddenly pushed open with a "bang", and several magic cats dragged a bearded man and walked out backwards.

"This is one of the werewolves that kidnapped the alchemist."

After saying this, Wade fell onto the bed, pulled the quilt up to his chest and covered it, and fell asleep in a second.

The few puppet cats left outside the space looked at each other, then quickly rushed into the wardrobe space. The huge wardrobe was quickly folded and finally turned into a small pencil case on the floor.

Dumbledore: "..."

After a while, the principal picked up the pencil case on the ground, placed it gently next to Wade's pillow, and then "floated" the bearded man away.
