Chapter 524
Crazy Mascot
Chapter 524 Crazy Mascot
Wade was about to drink his coffee when he heard the scream. He immediately stood up alertly and looked into the distance.
Bill remained calm. He smiled and said, "Maybe the Irish fans have come up with something new. It's hard for ordinary people to imagine how crazy these guys are."
Wade did not relax after hearing this. He saw that the camp in the distance was getting brighter and brighter, and suddenly the flames lit up the night sky.
The next second, a deafening explosion was heard from that direction, followed by people's screams that suddenly rose in volume, becoming dense, terrified, and sharp. Countless noisy sounds cut through the night sky like sharp blades.
"Something's wrong!" Bill's eyes suddenly became sharp. He dropped his beer, grabbed his wand, and stood up. He quickly said, "I'll go check out the situation. You wake up everyone else!"
Then Bill disappeared from the spot with a "pop". Theo and Ryan, who were still asleep, rushed out of the tent and asked in panic, "What happened? Did something explode?"
"Something happened in the camp." Wade's face was solemn, and he turned around and said, "Wake up everyone, we have to move to a safe place."
Without asking any questions, the two turned around and rushed into the tent. After a while, the sleepy people came running out in a hurry, and Hermione did not forget to put on her schoolbag.
At this time, the camp was full of people running in panic, adults were shouting and children were crying, all kinds of sounds were echoing in the night sky, countless black figures were running around, Wade even saw a figure struggling to be sent into the sky, and then suddenly fell down!
A long scream rang out in the night sky. Padma subconsciously hid behind Michael. Hermione said nervously, "What happened? Oh, I'm so stupid - Lumos!"
The bright light dispelled the surrounding darkness, and then there was another "pop" sound, and Bill appeared again.
"What happened, Bill?" Charlie cried.
"The mascot has gone crazy." Bill grabbed Ginny and said, "Come on, let's go to the forest first!"
"What? Mascot?" Harry didn't understand.
But the next moment, he had no doubts -
A veela flew over from a distance. Her beautiful and perfect head turned into a bird's head with a pointed beak on her face. There was a pair of scaly wings behind her shoulders. She could fly very far with a flap of her strength. Even her legs turned into eagle claws.
The Veela who seemed to have turned into a harpy looked completely crazy. She threw balls of fire at the tents in the camp, and suddenly swooped down, grabbed a fleeing wizard with her claws, and flew straight into the sky with him.
"No----"
The man struggled in panic, screaming in despair.
The Veela flew him several dozen feet high and suddenly released her claws. The man screamed and fell down. Several wizards on the ground hurriedly cast spells to catch him, but they had no accuracy.
Just as the man was about to fall to the ground and turn into a pool of meat paste, a figure suddenly flew out from the side, stretched out his hands and grabbed the unlucky guy.
Before people had time to rejoice, their hearts immediately fell into the icy lake again.
"Oh no--"
Padma covered her eyes in fear.
The figure turned out to be the Irish team's mascot, the Leprechaun. Its body had swelled to the size of a horse, with knotty muscles and a hideous face. After catching the wizard, it flew into the sky with a strange "ga ga" laugh, and the expression on its face was evil and weird.
Looking closely, they saw that the vest on the leprechaun was covered in blood. When it flew over everyone's heads carrying the wizard, Wade and the others saw the man's bloodless face, as if he was about to die.
"Merlin... the mascot... has really gone mad!" Ron muttered.
"Stop looking, let's go!" Charlie pulled everyone to run, but was suddenly stopped by Vida. "No, it's too late!"
Wade thought about the destruction of the nearby forests, and if he wanted to hide in the forest, he would have to run much farther than everyone thought.
What's more, the forest may not be safe tonight.
He took out a pencil case from his pocket, threw it on the ground and turned it into a wardrobe, then patted Harry on the back and said, "You guys go in here - hurry up!"
Michael glanced at Wade, then took the lead and ran in with Padma. Ron's eyes widened immediately when he saw the two of them successfully rush into the wardrobe that was one person tall and half a meter wide.
Bill's eyes lit up, and he immediately pushed Ginny in, then urged the others to hurry in. Charlie stared at the sky warily to avoid being attacked by the mascots.
Without saying anything, everyone rushed in one after another. Even Kreacher folded up the Black family's tent and dragged the sack-like package into the closet space with a grunt.
In the end, besides Bill, Charlie and Percy, Wade was the only underage wizard left outside. Charlie and Percy had already taken their wands and consciously ran to deal with the mascots flying all over the sky.
"You go in and hide first." Bill looked at Wade and said, "I'll help you hide this thing in a safe place."
"No, I can help, too."
As Wade spoke, a red light and a cloak flew out of the wardrobe space and landed beside him. Then Wade tapped the wardrobe with his wand, and it turned back into its original pencil case.
The cloak picked up the pencil case diligently and handed it to its owner.
The golden-red bird next to it was turning its head to comb its wings. Although it was only the size of a fist, it made Bill feel an extremely deadly danger.
Bill looked at Wade, then at the cloak and the firebird beside him, nodded and said, "Be careful and protect yourself!"
Then, without hesitation, he ran to help a witch who was being attacked by a Veela.
"Michal." Vader looked at the firebird and said softly, "Don't expose your true form of Fiery Flame. Just make sure those attackers can't fly."
The firebird cried out, spread its wings and flew away. When it reached its maximum speed, it looked like a red lightning streak across the night sky.
Michael passed behind a veela, whose wings were immediately torn from the roots and ignited.
She screamed in extreme pain, spinning and falling from a high altitude. Before she landed, she was hit by more than a dozen spells.
The Firebird collided head-on with a Leprechaun that had grown larger, causing its entire body to catch fire. In less than two seconds, the Leprechaun's swollen body shrank back to its original size.
The flames disappeared, the dwarf's eyes rolled back, and he fell straight down from the sky, and was then tied up by a rope that appeared out of nowhere.
Wade observed for a while and found that although most ordinary wizards had very poor spellcasting skills, as long as they did not drop their wands in panic, they could still deal with the mascots dropped from the sky by Michael.
He felt relieved, put on his cloak, then took out the Polyjuice Potion, threw a black hair into it, stirred it twice, and drank it all in one gulp.
A moment later, another "Harry Potter" appeared in the camp.
